The Columbus Chill Hockey Club is the top Pre/Post hockey program for High School players from central Ohio.
Under the guidance and leadership of Coach RJ Umberger, the Columbus Chill gives players the opportunity to learn from high level coaches through a proven training schedule. Practices are fast paced and challenge players through innovative drills and games to provide comprehensive skill development that will transfer to game play better than “old-school” drills.
The Chill plans to field teams in the 18U and 16U age groups, tiered by competitive level. These teams will operate from early August to late October, with the exception of the national bound teams. The national bound 18U and 16U teams will compete for the Mid-Am District Championship for the chance to secure a bid to the USA Hockey National Tier II Championships in the spring.

Columbus Chill Heritage Cup
Fun and competitive event for our Chill 16U In Town teams. Teams will compete in a series of scheduled games against each other, giving players a consistent and competitive opportunity while staying local.
- Spread out from August - October
- 6 games minimum per team
- Championship game to conclude the Fall Season
- Columbus Heritage Cup presented to winning team
Equipment
National Bound teams need black helmets, pants/shell, and black gloves.
Competitive & In Town teams do not have restrictions on helmets, pants, and gloves.
Neck guards, helmet ear pieces, and mouthguards are required for all teams
Jerseys/Socks
Home and away jerseys and socks are not included for all teams. Third jerseys are for National Bound teams only.
Players can wear jerseys for multiple years if possible.

16U - 20010, 2011, & 2012 (must be in HS)

All Chill teams will incorporate specialty coaches into practices.
