Team Philadelphia Captures 2026 Chill HS Summer Development I-270 Cup Championship

The 2026 Columbus Chill HS Summer Development Program came to an exciting conclusion Thursday morning with the annual I-270 Cup Tournament. After four weeks of skill development and competitive games, players took the ice one final time for a fast-paced 3on 3 tournament that showcased the progress made throughout the summer.

The top seeds proved why they earned their positions, controlling much of the early action and quickly sending several lower-seeded teams into the loser's bracket. However, the tournament wasn't without its surprises.

Team Columbus produced one of the biggest upsets of the day by eliminating #3 seed New Jersey, while #9 seed Vegas put together an impressive run through the loser's bracket, knocking off several higher-seeded opponents along the way.

As the tournament progressed, the competition only intensified. Vegas, Minnesota, Colorado, and Philadelphia emerged as the final four teams, each earning their opportunity to compete for the championship.

The title game featured Team Minnesota, backstopped by Collin Guider, against Team Philadelphia with Dylan Fansler in goal. Minnesota entered the championship after an impressive tournament run, but Philadelphia's speed, relentless pressure, and fresh legs proved to be the difference. Philadelphia controlled the pace from the opening faceoff and skated to a convincing 4-1 victory to claim the 2026 Chill HS Summer Development I-270 Cup Championship.

Congratulations to Team Philadelphia and goaltender Dylan Fansler on an outstanding tournament and well-earned championship.

The Columbus Chill would like to thank all of the players who participated in this year's Summer Development Program. The energy, effort, and competitiveness displayed throughout the past four weeks made for another outstanding summer on the ice.
