DETROIT, MI — The Chill Golden Seals capped off a resilient weekend of hockey by capturing the Grinder Detroit Early Bird Tournament championship, capping their run with a dominant 3-0 shutout victory against the USA Eagles in the final.

After a tough start to the tournament—dropping a 3-2 contest to the Hartland Huskies followed by a tight 2-1 loss to the USA Eagles—the Golden Seals refused to back down. Rebuilding their momentum in the group stage, the Seals rebounded in emphatic fashion with a 6-1 victory over the Birmingham Rangers A, followed by a disciplined 2-0 shutout against the Pittsburgh Arctic Foxes.

The strong recovery set up a highly anticipated rematch in the championship game against the USA Eagles, the team that had defeated them earlier in the tournament.
