Dallas Wins Inaugural Jr. Development Program I-270 Cup

The inaugural Columbus Chill Jr. I-270 Cup brought an exciting finish to the first-ever Jr. Development Program.

The tournament got off to a surprising start as #8 seed Team Colorado pulled off the biggest upset of the day, knocking off top-seeded Team New Jersey and sending the regular season champions to the consolation bracket. The surprises continued when Team Columbus defeated Team Pittsburgh, proving that every team was capable of making a deep tournament run.

As the tournament progressed, Philadelphia, Detroit, Nashville, and Dallas emerged from a highly competitive field to earn spots in the Final Four. Every game featured fast-paced action, strong team play, and outstanding goaltending, showcasing the development the players made throughout the four-week program.

The championship game featured Team Dallas against Team Detroit in a tightly contested matchup. Behind another outstanding performance from goaltender Gage Lee, Team Dallas held off Team Detroit and goaltender Colton Miller for a 2-1 victory to capture the championship.

With the win, Team Dallas became the inaugural Jr. Development Program I-270 Cup Champions, earning the first championship in the Columbus Chill Jr. Development Program.

Congratulations to every player and goalie who participated in this summer's Jr. Development Program. The competition, effort, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the month made for a fantastic first year, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the ice next summer.
