Columbus Chill Owls 18U Win Rock N’ Roll Cup Championship in Cleveland
COLUMBUS, OH (September 29, 2025) – The Columbus Chill Owls 18U team skated to victory this past weekend, capturing the Rock N’ Roll Cup championship in Cleveland, Ohio. Led by Coach Chris Moran and Coach Brocke Ellis, the Owls put together an impressive tournament run, finishing with a 4-1 record on the weekend.
The team opened strong in round-robin play with dominant wins over the Buffalo Regals (5-0) and Potomac Patriots (5-1). They lost a close game to 3Outs 1 but their strong performance in the round-robin play secured a spot in the semifinals, where they continued their momentum with a decisive 7-1 victory over the PHA Prowlers.
The Owls advanced to the championship game to face Team Cleveland in a thrilling final matchup. In a hard-fought, back-and-forth battle, the team showed resilience and composure, ultimately emerging victorious with a 3-2 shootout win to secure the championship title.
The Rock N’ Roll Cup victory marks an exciting achievement for the Chill Owls 18U team as they build momentum for their high school season. The team now looks forward to continuing their success in the final tournament of the pre/post season at the Big Bear Fall Colors Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan, taking place October 17–19.
