Chill Golden Seals Capture 16U Silver Division Championship at Grinder Hockeypalooza East

 The Chill Golden Seals 16U brought home the Silver Division Championship at the Grinder Hockeypalooza East tournament this past weekend in Fraser, Michigan, capping off an impressive run with a 5-0 shutout victory over the Bowling Green Black Aces in the championship game.

The Seals finished the weekend with a 5-1 record, showing resilience and strong play throughout the tournament. In round-robin action, the Seals earned wins over the BRPD Icemen (2-0) and the Lakeshore Jr. Lumberjacks (7-1), before dropping a hard-fought battle to Dishing Apple (6-3). They rebounded quickly with a key 2-0 win over the Black Aces, securing their spot in the playoffs.

In the semi-finals, the Golden Seals once again faced the BRPD Icemen and pulled out a gritty 2-1 victory, setting the stage for a championship rematch with the Black Aces. The Seals left no doubt in the final, controlling the play and skating to a convincing 5-0 shutout win to capture the division title.

Next up, the Golden Seals will compete in the Sylvania North Stars Tournament, scheduled for September 19–21, as they look to carry their momentum into another strong showing.
