Chill Buckeyes Earn Rock ’N Roll Cup Championship in Cleveland
The Chill Buckeyes skated their way to perfection at the Rock ’N Roll Cup Tournament in Cleveland this past weekend, going a flawless 4-0 to claim the championship title.
Led by Head Coach Danny Greiner and assistant coaches Matt Carter and Jason Crain, the Buckeyes dominated the round robin with commanding wins over Team Cleveland (6-0), 3Outs and 2 (7-1), and Team Columbus Blue (7-1). Their strong play and relentless team effort set the tone heading into championship Sunday.
In the final, the Buckeyes once again faced 3Outs and 2, leaving no doubt as they rolled to a decisive 6-0 shutout victory to secure the Cup. The team displayed excellent balance across all positions, combining sharp goaltending, disciplined defense, and explosive offense throughout the tournament.
With the Rock ’N Roll Cup trophy in hand, the Chill Buckeyes are already turning their attention to next weekend, where they will look to carry their momentum into the Columbus Heritage Cup. Their next matchup is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, at 9:00 AM at Ice Works, as they take on the Chill Bobcats in what promises to be a competitive clash.
Congratulations to Coach Greiner and the Chill Buckeyes on a dominant weekend performance and their Rock ’N Roll Cup championship!
