Columbus Chill Bobcats Capture Big Bear Fall Colours Championship in Dominant Fashion

ANN ARBOR, MI — The Columbus Chill Bobcats 16U capped off an outstanding preseason run by winning the Big Bear Fall Colours HSJV Grizzly Division Championship this past weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Bobcats started strong in round robin play, defeating the 16U Jr. Highlanders 3–1, earning a convincing 5–1 win over Team Columbus, and battling to a hard-fought tie with the Geneva Cyclones CSDHL 16U Midget Prospects to secure a spot in the championship game.

The title matchup set the stage for a rematch with the Jr. Highlanders, and the Bobcats rose to the occasion in impressive fashion. Columbus opened the scoring in the first period and never looked back, relying on disciplined play and defensive poise to stifle the Highlanders’ attack.

Neither team broke through in the second period, as both goaltenders stood tall and defensive play tightened on both sides. Entering the third period with a narrow lead, the Chill Bobcats exploded offensively, netting three more goals to seal a commanding 4–0 victory and the championship title.

It was a complete team effort, marked by structured defense, strong goaltending, and relentless speed,  the perfect finish to a fun and memorable fall season for the Bobcats.
