Chill RedHawks Capture 2nd Annual Columbus Chill Heritage Cup

COLUMBUS, OH — Congratulations to the Columbus Chill RedHawks 16U on capturing the 2nd Annual Columbus Chill Heritage Cup Championship, finishing an exciting fall season with a 1-0 victory over the Chill Union Soldiers in the championship game.

The Columbus Chill Heritage Cup is the annual fall league for the club’s 16U In-Town teams and serves as the highlight of their fall season. The league featured five teams, the Bobcats, Buckeyes, Monsters, RedHawks and Union Soldiers — with each team playing the others twice for an eight-game regular season from August through October.

Led by Head Coach Luke Andracki and Assistant Coach Jules Samuel, the RedHawks finished the regular season in second place with a 4-4 record before putting together an impressive playoff run.

The playoffs opened with the No. 5 Union Soldiers defeating the No. 4 Bobcats, 5-0, in the play-in game. The Union Soldiers then pulled off a 4-3 semifinal upset victory over the regular-season champion Monsters (6-2) to earn a spot in the championship game.

In the other semifinal, the RedHawks defeated the Buckeyes, 3-1, setting up a RedHawks and Union Soldiers championship matchup.

The final proved to be a tremendous defensive battle, with both teams fighting for every opportunity. In the end, the RedHawks found the only goal they needed and held on for a 1-0 victory to claim the 2026 Columbus Chill Heritage Cup Championship.

Congratulations as well to Head Coach Adam Kieffer and the Union Soldiers on an outstanding playoff run. After entering the postseason through the 4/5 play-in game, they won twice to reach the championship before their run fell just short in a hard fought final.

Congratulations to the Chill RedHawks and all five teams on another fun and competitive Heritage Cup season!
